Baseline biodiversity and wildlife surveys
In Tanzania so many areas are poorly known from a biological diversity standpoint. Basic knowledge of local biodiversity across a range of taxa allows projects to plan their activities and meet many of the criteria and standards now required by international organisations and markets.
The Ecological Initiatives team brings technical expertise to the important task of gathering field data for conservation and natural resource management. This expertise includes the ability to operate anywhere in Tanzania, using field methodologies to establish species presence, the identification of species of regional or global importance and factors affecting species distribution.
